Westport Meeting News:

BOOK FAIR UPDATE:

July 15, 2023.

Hi, All!
Our last day of the 2023 Book Fair is Sunday, July 16! We won’t have the final number for another few days, but it does seem we have met our budget and then some. The number of people who have helped to make this happen with joy and care has been incredible. I am so very grateful – in awe, actually – to everyone!

Our last work party will be at 6pm on Sunday evening (7/16) to pack up the books and tables. Please, please honor your own bodies and energy levels and only come if you feel able — we will have enough help with whomever comes. We should have things wrapped up in no more than 2 hours. Perhaps we can finish with a trip to Woods for ice cream?

I hope that all Friends will be able to join us for a post-book fair celebratory cookout on Saturday, July 22 from 4-7pm at meeting. We will supply grilled protein (burgers, dogs, vegi burgers), chips and some beverages. If you would like to bring a side dish or dessert, that would be wonderful – but it’s not necessary! There will be plenty to eat. We’ll share some stories and laughs, have a trivia game, and maybe do some singing. Most importantly, we will celebrate how incredible it is that we worked together to ‘pull off’ this book fair! NOTE: Please come whether or not you were part of the book fair! This is a meeting-wide celebration!
If you have questions or ideas, please be in touch with me: hellogretchen@gmail.com or 508-287-6441.

Thank you Friends!!!
Gretchen Baker-Smith, Book Fair Committee Clerk
