Westport Meeting Bread Day, March 5, 2022

Hello Westport Meeting Friends,

Here is our plan for Joy: We will be together letting yeast and Spirit rise!

Covid Safety Plan: The Child Care Working Group will have all taken rapid tests. Everyone (but the very youngest) will wear masks inside. We’ll eat outside (again, families with young children can stay inside if that’s easier). We’ll pay attention to ventilation and handwashing.

Timeframe What will happen
3-3:15 Welcome in person or on Zoom.

3:15-3:30 Circle Up, introductions, and a short meditation

3:30-4:15 Make dough in person – those on Zoom are welcome to as well! Attached is the recipe we’re using, but Friends are welcome to make any kind!

4:15-4:30 Group Game for Fun for all ages

4:30-4:55 Time together for Raising our CommunityThis will be an interactive time to hope and dream together on our meeting community in a format we hope will be friendly for all ages.

4:55-5:05 Dance Party for Joy both in person and on Zoom. At the end, we will wave goodbye to those on Zoom!

5:05-5:30 Push bread dough down and shape loaves (this would be a fine time for those who want to take it home to bake to leave)

5:30-6:00 Bread will bake. We’ll have time to visit, sing, play a game, read a story, or look at the emerging stars outside around the fire.
6:00-7:00 Circle up to cheer the bread, each other and share grace. Eat soup and warm bread outside around the fire pit. Reluctantly head home.

7:00-8:00 Cleanup crew will stick around! (It may not take us all this time!) Some delivery of bread to those who can’t be with us could happen!
